Joe Lee Lish, 71, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at his home. He was born August 11, 1936 in Deweyville, UT to Lloyd Ernest and Viola Harry Lish. He lived in Deweyville and Tremonton graduating from Bear River High School in 1954. He served during 1956-1958 in the U. S. Army. He worked at Thiokol and retired as Director of Transportation after 46 years of meritorious service. He married Carol Lee Webster in 1960. They later divorced. He married Judy Orme. They later divorced but remained close friends, "soul mates".
Joe loved his grandchildren, animals, hunting, fishing and trap shooting.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He is survived by one son, Steven R. Lish; five grandchildren: Lee, Ashley Erica, Byron and Laurel; one great-granddaughter, Maylee; brothers: Jay (DarLyne) Lish, Junior (Cherri) Lish, Ray (Kathryn) Lish, Kent (Susan) Lish and Marion "Lefty" (June) Lish; sisters: Luella Barlow, Barbara Evans, Jessie (George) Ball, Judy Petersen and Karen (Golden) Sill.
Preceding him in death are one brother, Renae Lish and one sister, Virginia Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 (noon) Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Family and friends may call from 10:00-11:45 a.m. prior to the service.
