Virgil Grant Merrill was born June 15, 1916, in Smithfield, Utah to Virgil Taylor and Julia Irene Wheeler. Died May 2, 2008, in Heber, Utah, from causes incident to old age. Married La Vene Mallory Aug. 19, 1936 in Brigham, Utah. Marriage solemnized in Logan Temple Feb. 28, 1955.
He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Dewayne Grant.
He is survived by his wife and by his children: Rhonda Lynn Smith, Maricopa, AZ, Virgil Brent (Sara), Salt Lake, Monty Craig (Dee), Salt Lake, and Toni Lee (Danny) Thomas, Heber, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, Clea Coburn, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wed., May 7, 2008, at the Nelson Funeral Home in Logan, 162 East 400 North at Noon. Friends and family may call at 10:30 prior to the services.
