Alice Hall Cass

1923 - 2008
Alice Hall Cass was born Sept. 21, 1923 in Buist, Idaho to Archibald Sanford and Fanny Evans Hall.
Shortly after mom's birth, her family moved to Garland, Utah, where she grew up learning the value of work, playing softball, running track, and loving her family of 5 sisters and 3 brothers. She attended Bear River High School in Garland, UT. graduating in 1941. Mom moved to Ogden where she attended Beauty School and she worked for the Southern Pacific R.R. She was an avid bowler and golfer and was up for anything. She met Paul H. Cass and they were married on Feb. 22, 1949. They had two daughters, Sulinda and Paula. They were sealed together on Feb. 22, 1986 in the Ogden LDS Temple.
She was called the "Woman with Many Talents." She was an outstanding cook and seamstress. She enjoyed quilting with her sisters and at Relief Society. No matter the project it was done with perfection.
Mom had many callings in Relief Society. She was second counselor and enjoyed the associations she had, but she truly loved serving on the homemaking committees.
Mom is preceded in death by her husband Paul, brothers, Mark and Archibald (Tobe), sisters, Leone, Marie, Phoebe, Fanny, and Fay. Survived by her brother Earl, daughters, Sulinda and Paula, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Leavitt's Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden. Family and friends may call Wednesday, May 7, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on and one hour prior to services at the mortuary.
