Erna Dean Spencer Thompson Welker, 72, our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away Tuesday, May 06, 2008 in Bountiful, Utah.

Born February 2, 1937 in Huntington, Utah the daughter of Dearl and Virginia Gordon Spencer. Married Leland Thompson in 1956, later divorced; married Donald Welker in 1978, later divorced.

Erna Dean graduated from Park City High School, where she was prom royalty. She was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed painting and was a published poet. Erna offered love and generosity to all and never missed an opportunity to share.

She is survived by her children Leland Thompson, III, Dean Thompson, Denise (Mark) Anderson, Ellen (Vaughn) Williamson, and Jodene (Spencer) Larsen; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers Bobby and Jack Spencer. Preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Joann Lund.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Friday, May 9, 2008 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call Thurs. from 6-8 pm and 9:45 – 10:45 am Fri. prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
