Mitzi Carr-Gifford
Salt Lake City
1961 - 2008
Mitzi was well liked by everyone who knew her and loved by everyone who knew her well. She was the kind of person who reached out and tried to help anyone in need. She was a successful psych nurse at Valley Mental Health for 13 years. She had a great sense humor and was known for her pranks and gag gifts. She was also caring and opened her home and her heart to everyone. She was the best wife, daughter, sister, friend and mom anyone could ever ask for and was a second mother to many.
She was a strong woman who knew how to get what she wanted. “If there is a will there’s a way,” she’d always say. There was never a problem she couldn’t fix and she could talk anyone into anything. She touched many people and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her father Eldred Carr.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted towards a scholarship fund for the daughter she loved more than life itself. A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Ann’s Church on 2100 South 500 East at noon, followed by a funeral mass at 1:00 p.m.
