Our beloved mother, Doris May Hofheins, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on May 10, 2008.

She was born in Salt Lake City on April 25, 1926 to Irvin Joseph and May Ingrid Hansen.

Married Sheldon Bruce Hofheins on November 8, 1957, later divorced.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Doris is survived by her daughters Tamera and Teresa, brother Paul, sister-in-law Connie, brother-in-law Richard, nieces Laura (Jeff), Vella (Denis) and Elisha (Gregg), nephew John and several grand-nieces and nephews. Also survived by her “adopted sons,” Doug, Ron, Danny, Darren, Matt, Carl, Omar and Paul.

Preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard and sister, Edyth. A viewing will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Deseret Memorial Mortuary, 36 E. 700 S., Salt Lake City, UT, followed by a graveside service at Elysian Burial Gardens at 12:30 p.m., 1075 E. 4580 S., Murray, UT.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Primary Children’s Medical Center or to the Humane Society would be most appreciated.
