Robert LaFell Winn, born April 3, 1923 to Ethel and LaFell Winn passed away at his home in Cedar City, Utah May 12, 2008. Bob was 85.
He lived a good hard life filled with loving family and many friends, all who loved him and will miss him. Bob worked hard all his life mostly road construction and welding. Bob always felt hard work made for a good man, and he was a good man. He was well respected and some of his welding work can be admired to this day.
Bob married Lenna Winn on June 11, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their loving marriage was later sealed for all time and eternity in the St. George Temple on March 13, 1993. Bob and Lenna raised 5 children, although they sadly lost their daughter Karen on January 26, 1975.
Bob is survived by his wife Lenna Winn. Daughters Lenna Jean (Ken) Brunson, Marilyn (Roy) Hunter, Sharon (Mike) Aldred and son Dennis (Pam) Winn. A sister Beth (Ken) Dalton, and a brother Paul Winn. Also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other family and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ethel and LaFell Winn, His daughter Karen Winn Aldred, grandson Billy Winn, and brothers Don Winn and Stan Winn.
Bob was tough, honest and strong, all those left behind have wonderful, loving memories of him. The family would like to express their thanks to all Bob's friends and family for their help and kind thoughts.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 14, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Cedar City 6th Ward Chapel located at 1650 West Center Street. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Southern Utah Mortuary located at 190 N 300 W Cedar City, Utah and on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church.
Interment will be at the Cedar City Cemetery.
