In loving memory of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Carolyn Nielsen Smith of Sandy, Utah passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9th 2008, at the Alta View Hospital in Sandy, UT. She was born September 12th 1946 in Spanish Fork, UT to Ross and Alice Nielsen. She was the youngest of four children.

She graduated from Spanish Fork High School, and later was employed at B & D Medical for twenty-four and a half years. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, crocheting and tole painting. She loved her family and always tried to spend time with them. Carolyn was an active member of the LDS church her entire life. She loved serving in the Young Women, Primary, and Relief Society.

She Married Isaac F. Smith on February 5th, 1966, in the Manti Temple.

Carolyn is survived by her 2 sons and 3 daughters: Annette (Kittisack), West Jordan, UT. Tamra, Sandy, UT. Robert (Holly), Kearns, UT. Aaron (Rocio), Eagle Mountain, UT. and Wendy, Sandy, UT. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Iris H. Smith, brother James Byron Nielsen, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister Marian and her twin brother Carl.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Crescent Park 4th Ward Chapel. 10885 S. Pampas Dr. Sandy UT 84094. A viewing will be held before the funeral from 11:45-12:45 p.m.
