Steven Todd Bendinelli passed quietly from this mortality on the morning of October 22, 2009 of causes yet to be determined. He was born on his mother’s birthday, July 29, 1972. He lived most of his life in Ogden, graduated from Ben Lomond High School and attended OWATC. He was a good person and loved people and always quick to help anyone in need. He had many friends and always remained close to his family. The light of his life was his “little buddy” Christopher whom he adored. If he wasn’t with him, he was talking about him and planning things for their next visit.
Steve also enjoyed his band mates and playing his bass guitar at local clubs and parties. He also enjoyed outdoor life and 4 wheeling, finding old friends on Facebook and MySpace and working on new music with the band. He had a special bond with his Grampa Peterson and enjoyed rock hunting trips with him. He was a member of the Rock Cliff 6th Ward.
He worked since he was 14 at Lynn School; then to Stop and Shop, Autoliv and Petersen Inc. as a quality inspector. He was talented with computers and technical things.
Steven leaves behind his loving parents, Leo and Gayle Bendinelli of Ogden and his adoring little boy Christopher. He was married to Christee Watkins and later divorced. He was also close to his big brother/cousin, Mike (Lorna) Cook of Roy and their daughter Haylee and his loving aunt, Linda Cook. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles and cousins from Massachusetts to Samoa. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and cousin Jeff Cook.
His gentle personality, big smile and sense of humor will be sorely missed by all of us who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Blvd. Friends may call on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m. A private interment will be held the following week.
In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations to go into a trust for Christopher.
