Kimble Andrus Han
1979 - 2009
Private First Class Kimble Andrus Han’s life was taken when the vehicle he was driving hit an improvised explosive device in Kandahar, Afghanistan while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom with the United States Army. Full of courage to the end, he was a true warrior. We are sure he is enjoying a great reunion with his dad who preceded him in death 16 yrs ago.
Kimble was born the second of 8 children to Bill and Lisa Han, August 17, 1979 in Gold Beach, Oregon. He spent his growing up years in Oregon, Nevada, Washington, Colorado and Utah. He loved life and his family. Another love he had was sports. If it involved football, basketball, baseball, golf or snow boarding you’d find Kimble there. He enjoyed many fishing and camping trips while he was growing up. He was so excited to finally have found his soul-mate Melissa Lund and another bonus was three cute boys. They were married on Jan. 16, 2009 and they looked forward to being sealed in the temple. A short time later Kimble was deployed to Iraq with a final destination of Afghanistan. In August he had a much anticipated mid-term leave for two weeks. What a great and fun reunion was had with much of the family.
Kimble is survived by wife, Melissa, 3 step sons, Brenden, Austin, and Caleb all of Las Vegas, NV. Mother and stepfather Lisa and Paul Barnes of Saratoga Springs, two brothers Jerod (Belinda) Han of Lehi, Logan Han of Saratoga Springs, five sisters Malea (Jeremy) Lyons of Dickinson, ND, Brittany (Greg) Campbell of Medford, Oregon, Alyssa Han of Saratoga Springs, Hayley Han of Provo, Natalie Brooks of Saratoga Springs, and step sister Alexia Barnes of Saratoga Springs, nephews Trentyn and Hunter, nieces Aubrey, Lacey, Jentry and Lora.
