Mervin J. Robinson
Ogden
1938 - 2009
Our beloved dad, brother, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend, Mervin J. Robinson, passed away on November 11, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
Dad was a hard worker and loved working with his hands, making beautiful furniture for his children to pass on for generations to come. He loved playing poker, telling jokes and making others laugh. Dad also enjoyed yard sales and spending time with his grandchildren. He will always be remembered by those that knew and loved him, and will deeply be missed by all.
Mervin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley; three sons: John, Rick, & Donnie; and one brother Ivan.
Mervin is survived by two sons: Kevin and Torrence (Amber); two daughters: Tamara (Chris) and Candance (Mitch), and a son-in-law James Johansen. Also surviving are four brothers: Irvin, Neil, Sid, and Leon, one sister: Barbara, 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Dad thought that people didn’t stop playing because they grew old, but rather that they grew old because they stopped playing. Also that holding grudges is like drinking poison and expecting others to die.
